One of the most difficult issues that teams in the National Football League must deal with is injuries.

The Green Bay Packers are no different than any other organization, but the front office folks always seem to be able to address problems in the draft.

The 2016 second round selection of Indiana University offensive tackle Jason Spriggs shows that general manager Ted Thompson is confronting that portion of the offense.

Last year during the regular season loss at Arizona, Green Bay's offensive line was missing some components thanks to injuries and the end result was on the wrong side of 38-8.

Trading a few picks in this year's draft appears to be a minimal cost as the Packers prepare to add some quality depth to the offensive line.

Also on the table, is the pending free agency of several current linemen. Who knows how high that price tag could be and by the 2017 season Spriggs could be a mainstay on the line.

Plenty of people seem to like Spriggs as he was All-Big Ten Second Team, while earning a spot on the First Team All-American list for the Football Writers Association of America and the Associated Press Third Team.

Hopefully, his addition to the guys protecting Aaron Rodgers will have an impact on Green Bay's offensive production in 2016.
